Also, try ADA VIS, at http://www.mexicoinsurance.com/welcome.html
They represent Kemper Mexico Seguros. I haven't had an accident so I can't say if the service is any good.
: Hi,any suggestions on buying inexpensive auto insurance for Mexico. Will be entering Mexico at Nogales in January and will be leaving some time in March.Thank you.

Like you, I will be crossing into Mexico at Nogales in January and returning in March. I've just purchased a 6 month policy from San Xavier Mexico Insurance. Here's their address:
http://www.mexican-autoinsurance.com/
They have an office in Tucson as well as one in Nogales. I've found recommendations to them from Carl Franz and contributors to this and other forums. You can get a quote online and there is an 800 number to the owner, Bob Acosta. He will fax and mail policy to you. I checked a number of companies, but shied away from those in California, since I thought they might be mainly concerned with Baja and be a little harder to reach if I had problems. I thought his prices quite competitive.

Think I have the insurance thing together for a return trip. Trying to find out what the road conditions are like along the coast down to Puerto Vallarta following the seasons hurricanes that hit the Baji area.

I found MexPro provided 6 month liability, legal aid and towing for around 100 bucks, sounds good to me, anyone heard of them. Thought they were better than Ada Vis because they provided transport and towing from a breakdown or accident for just a little more.
