Cell Phone question

Can't Post | Private Reply
I have a Nokia cell phone from recent but discontinued Cingular service. It is supposed to be the same setup as international cell phones with a SIM card installed. Maybe a dumb question here but..... Does anyone know if I can purchase a prepaid plan for use in Mexico that would allow me to use this phone?

Hello

You might want to read this story that is currently on the main Mexconnect page.

It looks like it shouldn't be a problem.

Good Luck

That's what I did (purchased a prepaid plan for use in Mexico that allowed me to use this phone.) My old Nokia phone (formerly with a Cingular chip) works fine. The cell phone guy charged me $15 (US) to insert the new chip with $100 pesos of call-time.
