note left on my door

I can't for the life of me figure out what I was invited to. I've looked at lesson notes and used my good dictionary, but nothing makes sense. You'd laugh if you knew how I translated it. Help, please?

A todas las amas de casa y enfermos se les invita cordialmente este Martes, 30 de enero a un desayuno gratis. Horario: 8:00 a.m.

If I had gone, I could have got a free breakfast, but enfermos are sick people, right? I really didn't want to eat breakfast with sick people, even if it were free, so I didn't go. Plus, I was not awake at 8:00 a.m.

All housewives and sick people (I'd say shut-ins) are cordially invited to a free breakfast on Tuesday 30 January 8AM.

Muchisimo gracias! I'm glad I didn't go to that breakfast since I'm neither housewife nor shut-in!!! I couldn't find amass in my dictionary and have never heard it used. I think I'll lurk on this forum a bit more. I obviously need it!
