I agree with Rolly as to who to call. When I was having trouble connecting to my bank's site, the Infinitum tech (English-speaking) in DF was extremely thorough and patient and finally gave me the answer I needed.

We replaced all the phone wiring that comes in over our roof and now I am back up to a better speed. I am on a wireless router, and getting better speed than our main computer, it seems. Telmex reports I am getting 710 kbps on download. I don't remember what speed we signed up for, but we are paying 349 pesos pm.

MargoJean. You have the "UP TO" 1 meg download connection with an upload speed of "UP TO" 128 kb/sec. 710 kbps is a very acceptable download speed for your connection. Typically during periods of heavy use, you should see slightly lower speeds. If the speeds drop way down, then your network could be over-saturated. But 710 is great.
