Does anyone know what the road conditions are from Chetumal to Palenque along route # 186. It is usually slow but what really interests me is how it is with all the rain we have been having in the Yucatan lately is the road passable.
Dan

I just drove that road in January and it was fine. I've driven it maybe five or six times in past years and it's always been fine. When did you drive it when it was slow?

I have not driven this road but have been told by different people that it can be slow because of high truck tfaffic.
Dan

Well, it's a Mexican road, so of course it has slow trucks on it, but I remember traffic volumes always being light. It certainly goes faster than most. It's straight and mostly flat so passing is easy.
