I hit the return key at the wrong time.
If you want to see interesting places on the way, consider going to Tlaxcala and Cacaxtla, then to Teotihuacan. From there, go to Pachuca and then to Tula and on to Queretaro.
What are you driving?

Once you are off the cuota and in the outskirts of Mexico City be prepared for heavy traffic and very little in the way of signs. We managed to lose our way several times but found that everyone we asked was extremely helpful. I would estimate it could take almost two hours to get around to the road up to Querataro once you hit the outskirts. Perhaps it would be quicker to head in towards the airport and then out again rather than circling around through Texococo, etc. I don't know. You really need a good city road map to navigate and we will do that next time. Anyway, it was a real experience to drive in Mexico City traffic, not to mention the pollution.

I live right next to a construction site for a Toyota dealership in Mexico City. You may want to check, if some have opened recently.
: Thanks for the info.

We drove through Mexico City 3 weeks ago. Do yourself a big favor. When you come into the outskirts of the city, simply flag down a taxi, and have them lead you acrossed town. It cost us 70 pesos. We passed through mid-day on a weekday, and it was not that bad at all. You do have to be agressive while driving there. Good Luck
