Cruise Ships Manzanillo

Can someone tell me where cruise ships dock in Manzanillo? I have family that will be there next week for one day, and it would be a rare chance to see them. I'm in Jocotepec, and I know how to get to Manzanillo, although I have not been there before. Can one walk from where the cruise ships dock to the giant statue of a sailfish by Mexican artist, Sebastian? Is there a better idea of a place to meet someone coming off a cruise ship? All the ones I've seen dock near the port entrance which is close to downtown but a good walk. Taxies line up at the boats. The port entrance is about a mile back from the statue, cross over the train tracks right across from the Banjercito ... and down to the water.
