QUITE SAFE, ACTUALLY. BETTER BE CAREFUL NOT TO BE PART OF A TRAFFIC ACCIDENT, WHICH COULD BE STATISTICALLY MORE PROBABLE.
TRY TO USE ALL TOLL HIGHWAYS WHICH INCLUDE TOW TRUCKS, EVEN EMERGENCY VEHICLES.
PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THE WEB PAGES:
www.guadalajaratepic.mx
www.tepicmazatlan.com.mx
www.mazatlanculiacan.com.mx
THEY INCLUDE USEFUL GOOGLE MAPS AND GENERAL TOURIST INFO.
YOUŽLL FIND FRIENDLY SERVICE ALONG THE PACIFIC HIGHWAYS

Hello careyeroslib,

I happy to hear that you enjoyed the "La Noria" Restaurant across the street from the Las Palmas Hotel. I had to make two separate round trips NOB last month and each time at different times of the day, I stopped for meals there. It really is a great little place to eat and relax. The restrooms are the cleanest I have ever seen in a restaurant and the rest of the establishment is also excellent. The food and service is second to none. The prices are fair and if you are into a glass or a bottle of wine with your meal, they have a really good selection. It is very indistinct from the outside, but as soon as you enter, it is quite a change. Probably the best homemade chocolate cake since leaving the states, and in the morning they really know the meaning of cooking eggs over easy. Hope everyone gives this place a try out, as they are really striving to make a pleasant experience for all travelers.

I have to go back NOB in the next couple of weeks and will again stop both ways for really good meals.
