In Pennsylvania we used beer batter & deep fried them nice & crunchy. Dipped them in 1/2 cup catsup + 1/2 cup horseradish = 1 cup dipping sauce. yum yum. Chocolate layer cake slathered with limberger cheese for dessert. Ummmm Good !! Getting older and still not down here.
