Permanent residency questions?

| Private Reply
My wife and I just applied for our PR card at the Mexican consulate where we live. It was straight forward and we now have our 30 day temporary Mexican Visa for PR in our passports. We have our condo in Rosarito and will be going down next week to submit to the immigration office at City Hall in Rosarito.
At the Mexican consulate in the states, they made it sound very easy once we take it to the INM office, Turn it in, pay the fee, 30 days or so we pick up our PR cards....I have a few questions:
Do they collect our passports that day and keep them?
Do we need to bring with us all the info. we had to show in the states, proof of $$, Marriage license, pictures, etc. or what?
I want to be prepared
Do you have any experience or suggestions for us to make the process go as easy as possible?
Please...
Bob and Cheryl
