Our son is a chef, currently living and working in Melbourne Australia.
This year I wanted to plan ahead and get him a unique handcrafted Mexican gift for his birthday.
I have heard of the Ojeda family in the village Sayula, south of Guadalajara's. They are reputed to be outstanding knife makers for many generations. But I don't know much more about them than that.
So a few questions before we go to the trouble of driving over from Patzcuaro. Does anyone on this board have knives from them? I would love to hear what you think of them.
Any chefs or foodies out there with a recommendation for the right handcrafted knife for a young chef?
