Edythe Anstey Hanen
Edythe Anstey Hanen is a writer who lives on Bowen Island, a small community off the west coast of British Columbia.
She has published articles, short stories and poetry in several magazines and newspapers and has recently completed a collection of short stories. She was the editor of a weekly community newspaper, the Bowen Island Undercurrent, for 17 years. She recently won a contest in the Canadian Authors Association, was a finalist in the CBC contest in 2012.
In 2004, she published a historic coffee table book Bowen Island: Reflections and in 2012, her prize-winning short story "The Heart Box" was included in the anthology National Voices published by the Canadian Authors Association.
