Carey C. Sutton

Photo: Carey C. SuttonCarey Sutton began her writing career as creator and producer of the multi-award winning children's video and American Public Television series, Preschool Power. The unusual series uses real preschoolers--not child actors--to demonstrate a host of useful practical skills that enhance their self-confidence and improve eye-hand coordination.

The Montessori-based series won two first place gold medals from the NY Film and Video Festival, two golds from prestigious Parent's Choice Magazine and rave reviews from virtually every major reviewing media in the US. To see the reviews, read more about the series or even place an on-line order for your child or grandchild, go to www.preschoolpower.com

A freelance writer, who began her career specializing in children and parenting issues, she's been published in numerous on-line and print newsletters and magazines.

Now, widening out into travel writing and web design and development, Carey recently launched an on-line magazine, Cozumel My Cozumel. The 'zine features an active Independent Traveler Forum, a Living in Cozumel forum and, soon, a Scuba forum. There's also loads of editorial content about Cozumel and San Miguel and lots of tips for first time travelers to this beautiful, quirky island. Check it out at www.cozumelmycozumel.com

Carey, her husband, Tony and 16-year-old home-schooled daughter, Blake recently completed a villa in downtown San Miguel. The project was slated to take 7 months, took 2 years and cost a whole lot more than they'd ever been led to believe at the onset. But it was quite an adventure and the house turned out great--finally. Carey is currently working on a book on the experience with a working title of The Casa in Cozumel or Senor Toad's Wild Ride.
