Francisco Zúñiga (1913–1998)
by Gallery Kyron Art

The Master.

Francisco Zúñiga died on August 9, 1998; one week after the Kyron exhibition was inaugurated on the Internet. In his memory Andrew Vlady would like to include the final paragraph from his 1990 essay: Zúñiga/Kyron, One Artist, One Workshop.

"The legacy of Francisco Zúñiga continues to influence the artists that collaborate with Kyron even if they are unacquainted with his lithographs. Zúñiga is always present in the execution of the lithographic drawing and printing techniques; in the discipline of the workshop. For me, in particular, his determination to triumph guides me in those strategic moments that one will inevitably encounter in the search for perfection."
