One of the pioneer artists, a precursor to the phenomenal explosion of creativity from Oaxaca. Living and working for many years in Paris, Nieto's works stand as a testimony to European influences, which the Oaxacans have ably woven into the mesh of their unmistakeable imagery. Nieto was first and foremost a color printmaker.
