Julie Black has lived in Mexico since 1991. A graduate of History of Latin America from the University of California at Davis, she focused on Mexican History at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Méxcio in Mexico City.
At present, she enjoys working as a history teacher in Morelia, Michoacán, where she makes her home with her son.
